Cracks

These were some pictures taken at Antigua. Watch how the crack squiggles its way on the wall.

Lady of the Night

I found this beautiful lady in my garden. She only shows her white purity and fragrant aroma for one night. That was the night she allowed me to photograph her.

I believe this is the Epiphyllum oxypetalum, not quite sure. If you want to see the pictures larger just click on them.

Re: More Green Solutions?

Found out I won 3rd place in the "Go Green" contest my banner was in. Complete and utter surprise. The banner was mandatory and my partner was busy studying so I sort of didn't put much thought into it but I had great results! Our prize was a Fujifilm XP20 camera each which we started enjoying yesterday. :)

More Green Solutions?

Yes, most of us high-schoolers have probably had a gazillion projects on "Let's save the Earth", "Recycle", and "Eco-friendly Tips". This "Go Green!" banner project was no different. I decided to go all solar energy on it. Do you think it is effective?

Thank you to my Flickr friend yriael(Daniel) for his great picture.

AserrĂn e Incienso

Each year for Holy Week, Antigua, Guatemala comes alive with all it's splendor. The carpets that families make and offer, are stepped on by the processions. The carpets are made by the local families. Each family offers something, or makes a wish by means of a hand-made sawdust rug. Some families have been doing it for over 100 years, each year making longer and more elaborate carpets than the year before. The carpets are stepped on by processions or orders of men and women that show different stages of Christ's life on long slabs followed by huge parades.

Floating between balloons.

Living in the mess.

Truth

The general population has a very short memory span. They tend to forget their history. We need to be reminded that tools for our future lie in the mistakes we made in our past. It's time to learn from our mistakes, because:

Beauty and Art

Sometimes beauty and art are considered separate different things. My sister pointed that out: "Maybe this picture is amazing art but it doesn't make me seem beautiful". Art is amazing and beautiful because it reveals the truth, but maybe the truth isn't pretty, just exotic different and, after all, realistic.

Doors

Doors are opportunities and through time they have come to mark the history they carry within. Welcome my new collection: doors.

I want.

I want to know. I want to understand. I want to see. I want to live. I want to find. I want to be challenged. I want to learn. I want to comprehend. I want to be able to tell the tale. I want to know, really know.

Got me thinking

Street art can sometimes expose life's hard truths. This question got me thinking, might as well be true.

Light Tests

This was a photo shoot I wanted to work with lights. My intention was to enhance and exalt the subject's features to the maximum, to make it dramatic.

Light and Shadow

A sketch based on an amazing friend's portfolio picture. The pictures plays with darkness and luminosity. I, therefore, used a black background and gray-white colours to create the same effect.
